From October 24th to 26th, Madrija will have its own stand in the startup area of the Spanish Society of Cardiology Congress in Bilbao. The event will take place at the Euskalduna Palace, with public opening hours from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and on Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Over these days, more than 4,000 visitors are expected from all over Spain, with an extensive program covering emerging challenges in prevention, therapeutic and technological advances, complex situations in valvular patients, the reality of elderly patients with heart failure, and the latest advances in the connection between the heart and other organs, among other topics.
This Congress holds sustainable-event status, with initiatives such as promoting awareness of the basic sustainability measures implemented at the event through signage at key points, and offering a mobility app to help calculate carbon footprint.
In total, 1,200 abstracts were submitted, more than 90 awards and grants for research projects, 4 team meetings, and the strategic project “Women and Heart”. A joint meeting with the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering will also be held, and a technology innovation area will be set up where startups like Madrija will showcase their advances and products.
