Madrija celebrates a new milestone in digital innovation. We have opened the doors of our new technology center in Talavera de la Reina, a 300 m² space from which we will drive advanced digital solutions for the health, public administration, and education sectors. This step is much more than an expansion of facilities; it is the consolidation of a vision born in Castilla-La Mancha and projected to the world.
This new center reflects a firm commitment to developing cutting-edge technology without giving up our roots. We want to show that innovation can also be built from within a region, with a commitment to generating real, lasting impact in our community and in the talent trained here.
A center with a threefold purpose
When we founded MADRIJA in 2015, we did so with a clear conviction: we were certain it was possible to build an internationally renowned technology company from Toledo. Today, ten years later, this new site in Talavera brings that dream to life and expands it, opening the door to new possibilities.
The center was created with a threefold purpose: to foster technological innovation, to train and retain talent, and to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors.
On the technology side, we will lead developments in digital health, artificial intelligence, and interoperability, with key projects including:
The expansion of YKONOS, our medical imaging platform that is transforming diagnostics at SESCAM.
The internationalization of ENIGMA CIS, a cardiology management system already present in more than 100 European hospitals.
New lines of work in cloud computing and cybersecurity aimed at public administrations.
At the same time, this new space will be a driving force for developing local talent. We will implement specialized training programs aimed at young people from Castilla-La Mancha, creating real employment opportunities in high-impact projects. Our equality policy remains firm, with 45% of women in technical roles, as we are convinced that diversity is key to innovation.
The third pillar of this model is collaboration. MADRIJA continues to invest in strategic alliances with the regional Government, companies such as Fujifilm, universities, and research centers. We believe that bringing sectors together is the strongest path toward digital transformation with real impact.
A project with soul
During the opening ceremony, our CEO, Ismael Moreno, expressed what this project means for those of us who have been on this journey from the beginning:
“This center represents everything we believe in at MADRIJA: that technological excellence is compatible with staying rooted in our region, that innovation must serve to improve people’s lives, and that talent from Castilla-La Mancha can compete at the highest level. When we started, we were a small team with big dreams. Today we are almost 100 professionals, 85% trained in the region, developing projects that impact hospitals across Europe. And this is only the beginning.”
Technology, yes… but also commitment
Our commitment to the region is not limited to technology. We take on an active role as agents of social and cultural change. In that spirit, we collaborate with various initiatives that strengthen our connection to the region:
Support for grassroots sport, as sponsors of the Rubén Sobrino Football Campus and the Daimiel Women’s Basketball Club.
Support for culture, taking part in projects such as the Target Prize for contemporary art.
Protection of natural heritage, with projects such as the future Digital Biodiversity Library.
Promotion of technology education, through programs such as CLMSkills.
What’s next: an ambitious roadmap
The opening of this center marks the start of a new stage, with clear short- and medium-term goals:
Growing the workforce, with 10 to 15 new hires planned by the end of the year.
Launch of NeuronIA, an innovative predictive analytics platform for neurodegenerative disorders.
Strengthening international partnerships, bringing our solutions to new markets.
Ongoing training programs, to keep supporting our team’s professional development.
With this new center, we reaffirm our commitment to the region, to responsible innovation, and to talent that wants to change the world without straying too far from home. At MADRIJA, we keep dreaming big, with our feet firmly planted in Castilla-La Mancha.
