The goal is to increase the longevity and quality of life of older adults, something QSalud will help achieve through research into the relationships between genetic factors and other variables in older adults’ health trajectories throughout their lives, including how they may react to medications.
Madrija is involved in modeling the variables considered in the clinical analysis, with several defined tasks:
-Research into health indicators found in patients’ medical records
-Design of the data storage mechanism for the selected variables
-Design of project information storage tools tailored to the needs of healthcare experts: a set of low-response-time tools will be designed and developed to provide technological support for cardiac and neurological health experts, helping them prepare datasets and extract relationships between different variables.
Another of Madrija’s responsibilities in this project is interoperability. Within healthcare data systems, one challenge that remains is how to exchange data across the wide variety of devices involved.
