The General Council of Professional Colleges of Computer Engineering of Spain (CCII) held the second edition of its National Computer Engineering Awards on April 4th. These awards aim to highlight achievements in this field within our country and showcase the major impact of computer engineering on our society and its contribution to the public interest.
The awards ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Royal Academy of Engineering in Madrid, and recognized the work of a total of eleven people, companies, or institutions contributing to different areas of society through computer engineering.
In this edition we had the honor of receiving one of the ‘Entrepreneurship’ awards thanks to Enigma, the only comprehensive solution for managing Cardiology Services, present in 60 hospitals nationally and internationally. This award also recognizes the ‘Quantum Pharmacogenomics Applied to Aging’ project, which aims to improve the longevity and quality of life of older people by researching genetic relationships and other health variables throughout life.
In this project, Madrija plays a crucial role in modeling variables for clinical analysis, researching health indicators in medical records, designing mechanisms for storing information, and providing fast-response technology tools for experts in cardiac and neural health.
Other award winners include Eduard Martín Lineros, CIO of the Mobile World Capital Foundation in Barcelona, who received the ‘Professional, Computer Engineer’ award, while Elena Liria, CEO of the Digital Administration Agency of the Community of Madrid, was honored with the ‘Professional, Computer Engineer (Woman)’ award.
