Last Friday, June 7th, the Madrija team held its traditional Teambuilding event in Daimiel (Ciudad Real). The event brought together the whole staff and began with a breakfast during which Ismael Moreno, CEO, reviewed progress from the first months of the year and outlined the goals through December.
Afterward, everyone moved to a property in the area to begin the Escape Box, where they worked as a team to solve all the mysteries hidden inside the Box: a state-of-the-art technological box. Several actors accompanied them throughout the experience, putting on a real show to draw them into the story. Each team had a tablet that let them interact with their Box, unlock some of its elements, check the real-time progress of the other teams, and watch videos that made them feel like they were inside an actual Hollywood movie.
Over the course of 90 minutes, they put into practice skills such as observation, logic, memory, communication, and creativity. This allowed everyone, regardless of profile, to contribute their part.
In the afternoon, the team built their own Viking ship from more than 800 wooden pieces, 14 m long, 6 m tall, and weighing over 1,500 kilos. Participants had to overcome challenges involving changing strategy, time management, and leadership, just as they experience in their day-to-day work. At Madrija, everyone is in the same boat — if someone doesn’t do their part, it affects the whole organization and the boat sinks. This activity helped drive results-focused work, problem solving, strengthened teamwork, and encouraged communication and leadership.
