MADRIJA’s CEO took part in the 4th Spanish Economic Forum, where he highlighted Castilla-La Mancha’s leadership in healthcare innovation and the role of Artificial Intelligence in transforming the sector.
During the event, opened by Pedro J. Ramírez and Esther Esteban, with an institutional address by the president of the Castilla-La Mancha regional government, Emiliano García-Page, Ismael Moreno stressed the region’s commitment to technology investment in health, stating that “contrary to what one might think on this matter, Castilla-La Mancha is not lagging behind other countries”.
In this regard, Moreno noted that in recent months, the Castilla-La Mancha Health Service (SESCAM) has launched tenders worth €40 million, enabling companies founded and based in the region, such as MADRIJA, to develop cutting-edge technology alongside major multinationals. “This shows that Castilla-La Mancha is committed to innovation and makes it possible for local companies to lead projects with global impact,” he stated.
Prevention and telemonitoring: the future of health
MADRIJA’s CEO stated that the future of health lies in prevention and getting ahead of disease. Remote patient monitoring and Artificial Intelligence play a key role in this process. “This data feeds algorithms that allow solutions like ENIGMA, developed by MADRIJA, to issue immediate, reliable alerts that save lives,” he explained.
Moreno also wanted to convey a message of confidence: “To citizens overwhelmed by the rise of AI, we say that thanks to these technologies we are able to prioritize health issues, act sooner, and resolve them efficiently”.
Real impact and data security
MADRIJA’s solutions are already present in 100 hospitals, where healthcare professionals have streamlined their work and improved patient care. Regarding cybersecurity, Moreno stated that current legislation ensures secure data handling, though he advocated for adapting regulations to new technological challenges.
He closed by urging the region to seize this unique moment to develop its own technology and strengthen its leadership in health-focused innovation.
