This event was attended by the Regional Minister of Health of Castilla-La Mancha, Jesús Fernández; the Director of Information Systems at SESCAM, Eladio Linares; the Director of IDISCAM (Health Sciences Research Institute of Castilla-La Mancha), Vicens Martínez; the Director of Institutional Relations at PHILIPS, Ignacio López; the Director of Telefónica Castilla-La Mancha, Teudiselo Díaz; and our CEO, Ismael Moreno.

Before the event began, our CEO spoke to the media present and highlighted that “Madrija has grown into a company that employs 50 people exclusively in Castilla-La Mancha, thanks to a Cardiology solution that has become number one in the sector”. He also pointed out that “this system is present in 40 hospitals nationwide and 10 more abroad, mainly in Switzerland, although there are another 60 hospitals in Spain that could benefit from it”.

During the round table, the speakers each took a few minutes to discuss topics such as the digital transformation of healthcare in Castilla-La Mancha and the challenges ahead in the coming years, the Next Generation funds, how technology can drive change in service delivery, the INVEAT project, and the opportunities offered by 5G.

Madrija pointed out that technology “is an asset and a valuable aid in diagnosing and treating patients, also enabling much better follow-up and treatment”. Ismael Moreno also stressed the importance of R&D&I and announced the launch of a new project in Castilla-La Mancha to boost this field, while highlighting the need for public administrations to support small businesses.

For his part, the Regional Minister of Health mentioned future projects: “one involves artificial intelligence and technology to support diagnostics for Primary Care in Radiology; we also have Pathology projects, and we share projects with other regions, such as the Electronic Health Record with the Canary Islands”.
