On September 6 and 7, we attended Rice Focus: Left Atrial Appendage Closure, held at the University of Salamanca Auditorium. The event was organized by the Association for the Dissemination of Knowledge in Hemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology.
On the first day, live cases, theoretical talks, and simulators were presented.
On the second day, Dr. Ignacio Cruz welcomed attendees, after which the program covered imaging techniques, virtual reality for planning, and flow simulations. This was followed by presentations on custom devices, complicated venous access, and some complex cases such as jugular access. In the afternoon, specialists covered various complications such as thrombi, along with new developments including new devices, the ADALA study, and the Challenge Registry.
