The Government of Castilla-La Mancha has awarded a new technology platform that uses Artificial Intelligence patterns, through the development of a data space and use cases, with the aim of boosting the hotel sector in the Autonomous Community.
The service contract was awarded to the joint venture Accenture S.L. Sociedad Unipersonal – Madrija Consultoría S.L. for an amount of close to €2 million and an execution period of twelve months.
With this new advanced technology tool, the region’s hotel network will have access to an open data space where it can apply specific market analysis and planning techniques, using Artificial Intelligence to support decision-making that will allow it to optimize accommodation resources, whether creating offers, setting prices, or processing bookings.
The aim of this initiative is that, once deployed and implemented, the platform will enable the hotel sector to offer personalized services in the national and international market, tailored to each customer, improving their experience and satisfaction during their stay.
Among the actions this platform will enable is the creation of an intelligent system for predicting demand and tourist typology, allowing supply to be adapted to demand while also supporting local businesses, especially small and medium-sized establishments. An intelligent system for small and medium-sized establishments will also be developed, along with another for customer evaluation and experience, allowing for better identification of each visitor’s profile and the business best suited to their interests and needs.
This new technology platform is one of the initiatives within the interregional project known as ‘Spain Living Lab’, in which six other autonomous communities take part alongside Castilla-La Mancha, aiming to create an open innovation ecosystem for developing Artificial Intelligence in the tourism sector, funded by European funds from the Territorial Networks for Technological Specialization program (RETECH).
