Ismael Moreno, CEO of Madrija, took part in the event “Getting Closer to Artificial Intelligence”, organized by the College of Computer Engineering of Castilla-La Mancha, with a talk on Use Cases of Artificial Intelligence in Public Administration.
The use of artificial-intelligence-based systems by central, regional, and local government represents a clear step forward with multiple benefits related to operational effectiveness and efficiency, but it also comes with numerous questions that need to be managed, from the decision to develop or acquire such systems through to their rollout and throughout their lifecycle.
Since 2020, 50 procurement procedures have been launched with a combined tender value of close to €14 million and 45 awardees. Among the most notable are:
-Development and deployment of an advanced interpretation system.
-Service for building a minimum viable product.
-Smart labeling program for local products made by small producers.
-Chatbot development and deployment service
-Usage licenses for an analytics tool
-Development and deployment of an advanced Artificial-Intelligence-based recommendation system for the Barcelona Provincial Council’s Municipal Library Network.
